Here at Ginger and Sanders we like to do our bit for charities and local sports teams as this is important to us. We have over the years got involved in various events to help support local charities ranging from, The Salvation Army, Cat Rescue, St Wilfrids, Children’s Respite Trust, Cancer Research and so on. We have also supported the local rugby and football teams.
In fact, Peter likes to do his bit every Thursday by working as a volunteer at The Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden Kent. The Big Cat Sanctuary is a registered animal charity whose aim is to contribute to global conservation. They endeavour to provide peace and tranquility, combined with habitats tailored to house different species of cats providing the best possible lives in captivity. Breeding is by recommendation and part of the accredited co-ordinated breeding programmes helping to maintain genetic diversity of the captive populations of these endangered and iconic cats. Peter works with the big cat team and so can be found completing tasks from food preparation, feeding, cleaning out enclosures, preparing enrichments, maintenance of the enclosures and assisting with tours of the sanctuary.
